I built StandCycle because I bought a standing desk and still sat all day — the hardware was never the missing piece, a reminder was. What started as a timer for myself is now used by other developers who wanted the same thing: something that just runs, quietly, in the background of a workday.

As StandCycle grows, I want to say plainly what you can count on, so nothing here ever needs walking back.

• The core timer is free forever. Sit/stand/move intervals, notifications, your streak, and the climb — free, with no trial that expires. The timer never needs an account.
• No ads, ever. StandCycle will never carry advertising. Attention isn't the product.
• No data sales. Your timer runs in your browser and your history stays on your device unless you ask us to back it up. We measure how the app is used, anonymously, to see what people actually use and what breaks, and that is all we do with it. Never tied to your account, never sold, never shared with advertisers, and one click turns it off. The privacy policy has the detail.
• Saving your progress and cross-device sync stay free. The timer never needs an account. Once you have a streak, StandCycle offers to back it up with Google, so the record you are building is kept safe from a cleared cache and follows you to a second desk. Signing in costs nothing.
